About Me
I grew up in a small coastal town in the Netherlands. As a person full of energy, I made sure that my days were filled with as many activities as possible. I worked as a cook for a number of beach restaurants, played soccer and any racquet-sport I could get my hands on. Even though I was a decent soccer player, my heart always belonged to tennis and you could often find me on court 8 of the local tennis club. Court 8 was the club’s “centre court” and it is my “happy place”: countless hours of lessons and teaching others, many individual wins and losses, as well as team’s successes and mistakes. It is a place I come back to every year.
Education & Professional Career
I left the Netherlands for my undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where I was fortunate enough to play NCAA Division I soccer for the university team.
I started my career at General Electric where I held various financial operations positions. Afterwards, I joined AviaSolutions, a small Mergers & Acquisitions advisory company, right when it was bought out from General Electric and there I worked on small as well as large deals focusing on B2B services, manufacturing, government services, and technology companies.
I have recently graduated with a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of California, Berkeley and am now looking forward to acquiring and leading a small business.
Family
My wife, Monika, and I met in our Math class at UW-Madison and have been together for more than a decade. We recently welcomed our daughter, Camea, and the 3 of us call the United States our home.
